1.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when using our Service, including:

• Community Persona Submissions: When you create and submit a persona to the community, we collect the persona name, description, speaking style prompt, and your chosen nickname. This data is stored in our Cloudflare D1 database.
• Contact Information: If you contact us via email or through the contact form, we collect your email address and the content of your message.
• Text Input for Transformation: The text you enter for persona transformation is processed in real-time by our AI service (Google Gemini) and is NOT stored on our servers after the transformation is complete.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Service, we may automatically collect:

• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, click patterns, and referral URLs.
• IP Address (Hashed): We collect a SHA-256 hash of your IP address solely for the purpose of preventing duplicate likes on community personas. The original IP address is never stored.
• Cookies and Local Storage: We use browser local storage to remember your language preference and transformation history (stored locally on your device only).

1.3 Data Collected Through Cloudflare D1 Database

Soul Changer uses Cloudflare D1, a serverless SQL database, to store community-related data. The specific data stored includes:

• Personas Table: Persona name, description, speaking style prompt, locale (language), author nickname, like count, creation timestamp, and active status.
• Likes Table: Persona ID, hashed IP address (SHA-256), and creation timestamp.

We do NOT store your raw IP address, account credentials, or any personally identifiable information beyond what is listed above. The hashed IP is used exclusively for duplicate like prevention and cannot be reversed to identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Service Operation: To process text transformations, display community personas, and manage the like system.
• Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, understand user preferences, and improve the user experience.
• Communication: To respond to your inquiries and provide support when you contact us.
• Security and Integrity: To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized access to our Service. This includes rate limiting (10 transformations per minute, 5 persona submissions per hour).
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience:

Third-Party Advertising

• Cloudflare: Provides hosting, CDN, analytics, and D1 database services. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense: Displays advertisements. Subject to Google's Advertising Privacy Policy.

• Community Personas: Persona submissions (name, description, prompt, nickname) are publicly visible to all users of the Service.
• Service Providers: We share data with third-party service providers (Cloudflare, Google) as necessary to operate the Service.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption).
• IP addresses are hashed using SHA-256 before storage (irreversible).
• API endpoints are protected with rate limiting to prevent abuse.
• Content filtering is applied to community submissions to prevent harmful content.
• Cloudflare D1 data is stored securely in Cloudflare's infrastructure.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, including community persona submissions.

These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our Service, you consent to such transfers. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

10. Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

• Community Personas: Retained until deleted by the user request or removed for policy violations.
• Like Records (Hashed IP): Retained indefinitely for duplicate prevention.
• Text Input: NOT retained. Processed in real-time and discarded immediately after transformation.
• Contact Messages: Retained for up to 2 years for support and reference purposes.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Privacy Policy.
